Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you provide therapy for?

Our counseling services are tailored to meet the needs of people of all ages, ranging from children to adults, as well as couples and families. For preschool and school-aged children, we offer speech and language therapy that is specifically designed to help them develop and improve their communication skills. In the near future, we will also be introducing occupational therapy services to further enhance our offerings.

What types of therapy do you provide?

Our highly skilled counselling team is dedicated to helping clients of all ages overcome their challenges and lead fulfilling lives. When it comes to children, we understand the importance of using techniques that are both effective and engaging. That’s why we utilize a range of approaches, including Therapeutic Play, Cognitive Behavior (play) Therapy, and Bibliotherapy. These methods allow us to connect with our young clients on their level, helping them to express their feelings and work through difficult emotions in a way that feels safe and natural.

For teenagers and adults, we recognize that different approaches may be needed to achieve the desired results. That’s why we offer a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Spiritually Augmented Cognitive Behavior Therapy (SaCBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other modalities. Each of these approaches has been shown to be effective in helping clients overcome a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and trauma.

At our counselling center, we are committed to providing our clients with the tools and support they need to thrive. Whether you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one, we are here to guide you every step of the way. So why wait? Are your services covered by insurance?

If you are seeking services from psychologists, registered social workers, speech-language pathologists or occupational therapists, your insurance may cover the costs. To know for sure, it is advisable to contact your insurance provider and confirm which health professionals they will cover. Additionally, we offer the convenience of direct billing to select insurance providers.

Do you offer sliding scale options for those in financial need?

When it comes to clients in financial need, we offer a range of sliding-scale options to ensure that our services are accessible to everyone. We understand that financial hardship can be a barrier to getting the help you need, which is why we strive to make our services available at a reduced rate when necessary. Our sliding scale options take into account your income and other financial obligations to determine a fair and reasonable rate for our services. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality care, regardless of their financial situation, and we are committed to making that a reality for our clients.
