Approaches We Use
You don’t need to know which therapy approach is right for you before reaching out. That’s part of what the first session is for.
All of the approaches we use are evidence-based — meaning they’re grounded in research, not guesswork. Your therapist will talk with you about what you’re working through and recommend a direction that fits. In practice, most therapy draws on more than one approach depending on the person and the moment.
If you’re curious about a particular approach, the pages below explain each one in plain language.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFCT, EFIT, & EFFT)
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
