About Christina
Christina works with children from age five, teens and adults. She has experience with children and youth of all ages, abilities and stories, including neurodivergent young people and those with developmental and physical disabilities. She is passionate about mental health awareness, accessibility and reducing stigma.
Christina believes therapy is not one size fits all. Her approach is relational. She works with your strengths, your interests and what matters most to you, at your pace. She is trained in EMDR and also draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
Therapy is one hour out of the week, so Christina works best with people who are curious about the process, honest about what they are going through, and ready to practise what they talk about in session between appointments. For children and teens, she values parents who are on board and willing to carry the work into home life.
Christina holds a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care from MacEwan University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, with honours, from Yorkville University. She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and sees clients in person and virtually.
